VW remains resilient despite ‘Dieselgate’

spite of ‘Dieselgate’, Volkswagen Group’s sales for 2015 grew by 5.4 per cent
to €213.3 billion. However, due to high extraordinary charges, the Group recorded a
consolidated loss before and after tax of €1.3 billion and €1.4 billion,
respectively.

VW reaches deal with US over ‘dieselgate’
Volkswagen AG has
reached an agreement in principle with the various US authorities including Department
of Justice (Environmental Division), the Environment Protection Agency (EPA),
and the California Air Resources Board (CARB), with the full involvement of the

Cummins dips toe in plug-in hybrids
Cummins Inc. has won a $4.5 million grant from
the US Department of Energy (DofE) to develop a Class 6 commercial plug-in
hybrid electric vehicle that “can reduce fuel consumption by at least 50 per cent
over conventional Class 6 vehicles”.
